Possible work models: Employee / Freelancer In-office / Remote / Hybrid Full-time This job is for you if: You're a Lighting Artist who has creative and technical proficiency in turning lights, shadows, and colors into stunning 3D or 2.5D visual atmospheres in video games or films, based on conceptual illustrations and guidance from the Art Director and other artistic stakeholders You understand lighting techniques (including vertex lighting, dynamic lights, subsurface scattering, HDR, pre-baked lightmaps) You're great at working together with members of an agile and creative team, who work in different fields, while also maintaining a high degree of independence You're proficient in written and spoken English or Hungarian Your task will be: Taking game levels and scenes of a variety of environments and adding compelling lighting and post-processing to them with guidance and feedback from the Art Director and other artistic stakeholders Working with Narrative Designers and Level Designers in order for the lighting to help tell the story and convey emotional experiences while satisfying gameplay constraints Anticipate performance and other technical and production constraints with various lighting techniques It`s advantageous if: You're experienced at pre-rendered or real-time visual post-production, compositing, and color correction You're experienced at using major game engines (e.g. Unreal, Unity) You're good at painting/drawing You regularly play video games in your free time Powered by JazzHR
