The team We Are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Software Protection team. The team builds software to shield customers from tampering, repackaging, hooking and data exfiltration attacks at the application level. Our Software Protection products also have a cloud component that gathers application risk metrics and allows remote execution of countermeasures to remedy or disable offending applications. This role will be focused on protection technology targeting applications developed for Apple devices (iOS, tvOS, MacOS). The role As a Software Engineer, you build the products we sell to customers. You are a problem solver able to turn a requirement or a design into an operational high-quality product. At Senior level you impact multiple products and contribute to product design. You insist on the highest standards for design and quality because a working product is ultimately your responsibility. You mentor other software engineers. You welcome input and feedback from peers and other roles in the organization and accept change as inevitable. You deal with ambiguity and can fill design gaps with little input. Senior Software Engineers are expected to: Design and develop software for multiple areas of a Verimatrix product. Ensure quality by creating unit tests and follow Verimatrix’s Secure Development Lifecycle. Provide help to customer technical support in case of an escalation. Document all aspects of applications they are responsible for. Share technical knowledge and skills throughout engineering. Proactively suggest changes to the products, processes or internal tools to improve performance, security, operability and reduce costs. Raise technical risks to engineering management Mentor other software engineers. Interview software and automation engineers. Fill design gaps with little input. Produce software designs and specifications. Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or any engineering area with extensive exposure to software engineering. 8+ years software engineering work experience Advanced knowledge of 3 or more programming languages and Frameworks (for this role: Swift, SwiftUI, Objective C, C/C++, Python) Advanced Understanding of compilers and binary generation. Ability to execute tasks with monthly supervision Ability to complete partially defined designs and interpret into an execution plan Solid communication skills including documentation Advanced understanding of software development processes.
